Yasukuni Jinja honours thousand of victims from different wars. There are also pictures of Kudankita here is it where the national garden is located.
GenkiJAC Tokyo is in the centre of Shinjuku. the the closest neighbour is the Hanazono shrine. Here are some pictures.
My first weekend in Tokyo was more a local weekend. I stay in a guesthouse in Fushu. This is a village, 25 min with train from Tokyo. To find my way around I decided to walk around. I found a great tempel en there was some strange ritual.
The last holiday of golden week was monday, may six. After three hours we arrived in Iso-farmland. This was the biggest dissapointmend I had so far. It was a farm/shopping mall were you needed to pay for everything. I only ttook two pictures.
After that we went to Kirishima national park. It is a beautiful place with a lot of waterfalls. But because we came so late there were so many people that you would almost think you are in a big city. We were only alowed to be there for 40 min, such a shame.
After that we went quick to Miyazaki. This shrine dedicated to the shintoism. hides a cave were the sun goddess hide for a while to be save from here cruel brother.
No pictures were allow of the cave. but is was a really nice place to visit.
Today (march second, 2013) my host family and I went to Dazaifu Tenmangu Shrine. This shrine is verry popular because it is decicated for asking good luck with your studying. We went early to avoid the big crowd. The weather was already verry sunny. Because of all the plum trees, you were smelling the spring.
Like my host family I also took a paper to see how much luck I had. And suprisely I had the best luck. ^^. To give myself evenmore luck with my study I also bought a charm for studying. Lets hope all the crazy Japanese words get in my head now.
