I’m living for over more than one year in Japan now, and I can now say that the fall is my favorite season. The unbearable heat en humidity starts to fade away in the cooling fall breeze. And like me, who is welcoming this change the Japanese people also celebrate this with many events. One of these events is the Hakata light up walk.

Owl cafe Hakata

Owl cafe HakataPeople maybe already heard of the phenomenon cat café’s in Japan. They are extremely popular, because owing a pet in Japan is not so easy. But recently they added a new concept to this, Owl cafe. It’s the same as with cat cafe’s, you pay so you can be with the owls for a certain amount of time. Like maybe some people already know, I’m a big Harry Potter fan, so I needed to see this. And luck at my side there is one on Fukuoka, So that is where I went with some friends, to the owl cafe Hakata.

Ik ben verhuisd

Op de zelfde dag dat ik afstudeerde aan GenkiJacs verhuisde ik ook ineens naar mijn nieuwe plaats. De eerste twee maanden verbleef ik in Ijiri in een guesthouse. Dit was best oké voor een korte periode, maar ik kon me niet inbeelden daar een heel jaar te verblijven. Maar als je ooit beslist om Fukuoka te ontdekken en je bent op zoek naar een fatsoenlijke, goedkope plaats om te verblijven dan raad ik zeker Ijiri aan. Daarom ga ik vandaag zowel mijn oude plaats als mijn nieuwe plaats voorstellen in: Ik ben verhuisd.

I moved to my new place

On the same day that I graduated at GenkiJACS I also moved to my new place for the next year. The first two months I stayed in Ijiri at a guest house. And although for a short period this was fine, I could not image to stay there for one year. But if you ever decide to explore Fukuoka and are looking for a cheap decent place to stay I definitely recommend Ijiri. That why I’m going to introduce my old and new place in today’s post: I moved to my new place.
