People maybe already heard of the phenomenon cat café’s in Japan. They are extremely popular, because owing a pet in Japan is not so easy. But recently they added a new concept to this, Owl cafe. It’s the same as with cat cafe’s, you pay so you can be with the owls for a certain amount of time. Like maybe some people already know, I’m a big Harry Potter fan, so I needed to see this. And luck at my side there is one on Fukuoka, So that is where I went with some friends, to the owl cafe Hakata.
Friday, August 14 it was the second day of the Obon festival. On the internet I discovered that the Gokoku temple organized a special event to the ancestors and to honour the fallen soldiers. But because it started late in the evening, we first did a few other things. But the main point is Honor your ancestors
Everything is finally beginning to fall into its place. From Monday to Friday I have every day four hours Japanese lesson. Then I try to grasp the opportunity to explore the area around the school. My class was combined with another class. Suddenly we were so with almost twice as many students. Also I got money back because I brought back my book with me to Japan a 3000 Yen bonus. At this moment my 2nd week is over. Because I’m a bit behind schedule I decided today (Sunday) to update my blog. The first week was mostly a week of exploring, finding my way in Hakata and deciding whether I like it or not. (Because I’ve spent so much time in Tenjin I was a bit sceptical) But now is Hakata my new place of interest
